CREATIVE SESSIONS

Guitar 101

Nick Heward and Aaron Betsellie joined together to introduce the kids to the guitar. There were limited seats as we only had 2 guitars, but they did the best they could to teach the kids basic chords and music theory.

Jewelry Crafting

Joanne Yazzie, a master crafter, introduced the kids to jewelry crafting. We learned to piece together rings, earrings, and necklaces. This was definitely a favorite!

Acting Classes

Tara Dejolie, who studied at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, introduced the kids to acting techniques and improv. This was a dynamic class as it showed the kids how the body can be an instrument to express a particular message.

CREATIVE SESSIONS

CREATIVE SESSIONS

We’re heading in a direction where we see art and creativity being one of the essential characteristics we share with God as his creation. We see art merely as an expression and identity that we‘re able to creatively communicate and bless one another with.

ACTIVITIES

We normally hold a worship band workshop, jewelry crafting, and an acting class. However, our purpose is really just to use the talents and gifts God has given us to show the kids how to enjoy God themselves in and through these gifts. God is good!

"Creativity is not a mood. Creativity is not a gift. It's the very nature of God inside of you."
